On here I’m known as Berrit. At home I’m beckoned as ‘Mum’ at a rate of 12 squillion times a minute. So, when Hersey & Son (one of the UK’s few remaining traditional silversmiths) got in touch to offer me a custom made, zodiac pendant in exchange for an honest review, I was blown away! I often doubt myself as a parent and wonder if I’m enough. Which means being treated once in a while means a hell of a lot!

The Necklace
This gorgeous piece of sterling silver came beautifully boxed with a dust cloth and instructions on how to keep and look after it. It’s 3 beautiful charms, all perfectly selected to match my star sign, birth stone and name. Their jewellery can be engraved and comes packaged in a signature Hersey Silversmiths grey presentation box. What I love most however is the fact that it comes from a Father & Son business. They’ve been making jewellery in the UK since 1955 and are members of the National Association of Jewellers, so you know you are purchasing from a genuine company. All pieces are hallmarked by the London Assay and come with free delivery on orders over Ā£50! Whether we’re in the UK or Greece we always try to buy locally in order to feed back into the economy. But, it’s rare these days to find such high quality, British made products.

When I first received my pendant, I couldn’t stop thinking how much of a perfect ‘push’ present it would make for a new mum. Or even just as a lovely memorial and/or thank you gift.
