One of our all time favourite breakfasts as a couple were the bacon cinnamon rolls G and I ate in Atlanta. As it turns out they’re super easy and quick to make!
To make your own bacon cinnamon rolls you will need:
I use pre-made puff pastry to make my bacon, cinnamon rolls as it’s cheap and ultimately saves me a huge amount of time! Cut the pastry into strips. Spread a mix of the sugar, butter and cinnamon on to the strips. To make the cinnamon mix I tend to mix amounts by eye. You want it to be easily spread able, so that it melts nicely and infuses into the. pastry when it’s cooking. So, I would do double butter to sugar and because I love cinnamon I do 5 heaped table spoons of cinnamon.
Next cut up the bacon and layer it in on top of the cinnamon spread. Then roll up your strips. Lightly coat in milk and put into the oven at 180 for 25 mins or until golden brown.
Once out of the oven repeat the method for the cinnamon spread but add in some cream cheese too. This is now your topping glaze. Finish with a sprinkling of diced strawberries.
