Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream: Review

This is an unpaid review for Balance me, Wonder eye cream. I received this sample sized tube of cream as part of my May Birch Box, which I paid for with my own money. I decided to trial Birch in order to get to try out new products and rebuild my pre-mum make-up bag. To save you the time and money I thought I’d do one better and review the products I got as I use them.

What is it?

An eye cream, suitable for all skin types. The wonder eye cream claims to restore luminous, youthful-looking eyes, with it’s skin-brightening formula that works to reduce puffiness, dark spots and protect against premature ageing. – Come at me, right!?

Infused with refreshing Cucumber Oil, the promise is that the fast-absorbing cream helps to banish signs of fatigue, whilst Hyaluronic Acid and Virgin Coconut Oil deliver intense hydration and combat dryness. Its dose of Arctic Cloudberry plumps and smoothens the appearance of fine lines and crow’s feet for a soothed, lifted and radiant eye area.

First Thoughts

I’ve got to admit I was a bit dubious. I knew I had to manage my expectations as I really wanted it to work. With the big four zero looming and two kids under four, my eyes are 100% my problem area! My fears of let down weren’t helped by a difference of description on the tube versus online. The tube claims to be 100% natural however, online says 99%. Not a huge discrepancy, but an inconsistency none the less.

Practice V Theory

I’d give the wonder eye cream a 4.5/5. The cream is quite wet and so not a lot is needed to get good coverage. I’ve already had two applications from this 2ml tube. And it’s not even half way done. The effect of the cream is almost instant. It feels rich and hydrating. As it absorbs in you can feel the skin become tighter. It’s definitely helped reduce those sallow, mum bags. A full 15ml bottle costs around £20, which is a lot more than I’d normally spend on a cream. But, I think you get a fair amount of product for your buck. Which makes it well worth the price.

Much love,
