DIY Selfie Booth Props: With Bostik

This is a gifted, unpaid AD in partnership with Bostik UK

DIY selfie booths with props are a cheap and cheerful way to keep people entertained during any party. I’ve gone for flamingos and donuts as they’re relatively easy. But also because it ties in with P’s beach party theme. As last year on her first ever holiday we bought inflatable donuts and flamingos to take to the beach. (Didn’t everyone!?)

Supplies

To make your own, decorative DIY selfie stand props you will need:

• Bostik PVA Glue

• Mask stencil

• Scissors

• Marker pen

• An empty cereal box

• Kebab Sticks

• Pink and purple paper

• Colourful tissue paper

• Pink feathers (For the flamingo mask only)

Use this pic or find another of your choice to print off and use as an outline for your mask.

Flamingo

Place a sheet of pink paper on top of the stencil and draw around the out line. Once cut out, glue your colour paper on to an empty cereal box and again cut out. To the back of this glue your kebab stick and leave to dry. Use PVA glue for this project as it’s a great all round glue!

For Flamingo, just think pink. I’ve used a selection of feathers in varying shades of pink as well as pink tissue paper circles to give a textured effect. I also used the PVA glue to secure some (you’ve guessed it) pink ribbon around the stick to add some extra flamingo flamboyance!

Donut

Using the cereal box again, cut out a circle shape. Use the brown, inner side of the box as the base of your donut. You can either leave it brown like an original donut or cover it with coloured paper. Create lots of different coloured donuts, like different flavours! With a different coloured piece of paper cut out in a messy circle. Stuck on to the base this should look like the icing. Then to make some papery hundreds and thousands I’ve simply chopped up old scarps of rainbow coloured tissue paper.

Once done make sure to cut out a hole in the middle to create a ring shape. This will allow for the donut to be used to peep through like a monocle. And get creative! Use Pinterest for inspiration to bulk out your variety of props or even just for ideas for different donut designs.

But most importantly just have fun getting crafty!

Much love,

Berrit x
