Sunshine On A Rainy Day

As we hit back down on to the Mancunian… I want to say terraferma but, I just Googled it and definition comes up as ‘dry’ land, which Manchester is everything besides.  Well you get the picture; two weeks of Grecian bliss and then, home.  It was as I slipped my feet out of my flip flops and into my grey, forlorn Converse that I caught a glance of my haphazardly painted toenails in their glorious only for summer sands shade, I realised behind every rain cloud is a ray of sunshine, desperate to burst free.  Possibly more than ever these days, especially with recent events still fresh in all our minds, I realised it was time to make my own sunshine and maybe even be somebody else’s rainy day saviour.

I guess what I’m trying to say is every day life can be a real ball breaker, cheer yourself up where ever you can; buy a lime green sheet to make you smile every time you pull back your monotone quilt covers, eat rainbow sherbet covered ice cream in the cold, on a cloudy day and if you must cover those brightly covered toenails of yours, be sure it’s with the coolest damn pair of kicks you can find or at the very least a pair of florescent,  90’s inspired slouchies: what happens on couch stays on couch! Failing all that, if you are still in need of some anti-precipitation inspiration turn your speakers up loud (sharing is caring), kick off those socks and enjoy!
