No Sew: DIY New Born Head Bands

Quite a few people have asked me where I get LP’s head bands from, as they always match what she’s wearing. Well I’ll let you into a little secret, I made them myself (insert smug mummy eyebrow twerk) and it’s so easy to do! If like me you’ve an abundance of pointless newborn baby hats and a dislike for needle work. Then this no sew, DIY newborn, baby head band ‘How To’ is perfect for you!

What You Need For Your Head Band

All you need to make your own baby headband is:

  • A new born baby hat
  • A pair of scissors

Seriously that’s all, it’s honestly THAT simple!

Step By Step

  • cut off the folded trim of the hat. This is what you will use as your head band so, make sure your hat is made from a cotton and elastic mix, to go over babies head.
  • Cut a section of the top of the hat off
  • Use this (top) section to tie around the main part of the head band
  • pull knot tightly and cut off any extra material
  • DONE!

Love this, so simple but I’m sure a lot of parents wouldn’t think about it! #kidsandkreativity
