Ingredients:
The only key (unchanging) ingredient for this dish is the tomato sauce, made by mixing
- 1 cup of Pummaro
- 2 pinches of salt
- 1 tea spoon of oregano
- 1 table spoon of olive oil
The great thing about making pizza toast (other than the fact its quick and easy) is that you can adapt it to suit anyone.
- Bread:
Make with white, whole grain, gluten free etc depending on your dietary needs - Use dairy free cheese slices to make this dish vegan friendly
- Try a selection of any veg and/or meats that take your fancy – our favourite toppings are mushrooms, peppers, red onions & pepperoni,
Instructions:
- Set your oven to 250 deg C (no need to grill)
- Line a baking tray with baking paper
- Lay the bread on to your baking tray
- Take a couple table spoons of the tomato sauce (per slice) and spread generously over each piece of bread
- Evenly scatter your veg/meat toppings across each slice
- Top with cheese
- Bake for 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly crisp at the edges
