Wendy’s questions to us:
Q>How frequently do you life plan, and what does this look like for you?
A>I micro-life plan and re-evaluate on an hourly basis (looks like scribbles and doodles and lists all pinned to a calendar) but, the older I get the less I plan and the more I realise life is just what happens when you are living and so I put most of my focus on being mentally present i.e. awake!
Q>How do you keep yourself on track and accountable, when you need to?
A>Through my love of and responsibility for those I prize dearest.
Q>Where and when do you do most of your writing?
A>Late at night and in the early hours of the morning (normally between feeds), curled up on the couch.
Q>What or who truly inspires you the most?
A>My husband, we sit at opposite ends of the same spectrum; his strengths are all my weaknesses.
Q>What advice would you now give to your fifteen year old self?
A>Sh*t happens don’t stress it but, unfortunately mum is always right!
Q>Where in the world feels like home to you?
A>A small port town called Sitia
Q>Where would you like to live, no limits? (not necessarily the same as above…?)
A>I don’t think such a place exists: A large plot of land in the middle of no where, somewhere warm, in the countryside somewhere self sustainable, near the sea and not too far away from family and friends. Answers on a postcard!
Q>What are your most important personal belongings, and why?
A>My great, great, great Nanna’s rings, they keep me connected to and make me part of a long line of strong women, when I wear them I feel like their legacy.
Q>Do you think your physical ‘stuff,’ can hold you back, and why (or why not)?
A>No more than not having them. I live my life balancing my needs and prioritising what is most important to me rather than trying to keep up with what ‘stuff’ others have. Everything I have serves a purpose or a function needed to help me and my family sustain the lifestyle we need at the time of having it.
Q>Name one thing, that if you did this, would change your life for the better.
A>Traveling the world with my family.
Q>Which one was the hardest of the questions to answer, and why!?
A>Where would you like to live (no limits) I’m still not sure!
